The MacPerl520r4-DBG-CFM68K.sit.bin and MacPerl520r4-DBG-PPC.sit.bin
files are builds of MacPerl with -DDEBUGGING on.  Fun fun fun.
Note that the values passed to -D stick between script executions.
So doing -Dt and then removing -Dt, will result in -Dt still being on.
You can "clear" it by quitting and restarting the app, or by passing
-D0 on the shebang line.

MacPerl.PPC.xSYM.sit.bin is the Metrowerks symbol table built at
compile time.  I am not really sure what it is for, but they tell
me it is for debugging.
